The B&B sits on the hillside at San Salvatore di Cogorno, where the road climbs between olive and lemon trees and the whole coast opens up at once. Two rooms with private bathrooms, a breakfast room with three large windows onto the sea, and a terrace from which you look across the Gulf of Tigullio from Chiavari to Sestri Levante, with Portofino straight ahead.

We are on the hillside above the Gulf of Tigullio: five minutes by car and you are in Chiavari or Lavagna, half an hour and you are on the Riviera. It is a handy base for exploring the coast, and in the evening you come back to the quiet of the hill, with the sea lit up below.

Getting here

  • You will need a car: the B&B is on the hillside and the last stretch is a private road, narrow and winding, climbing for about a kilometre.
  • Follow the main road through Cogorno and then the signposted right turn: some satnavs suggest shortcuts that do not lead to the entrance.
  • The beaches of Chiavari and Lavagna are about 5 km away; for Portofino and the Cinque Terre it is best to leave the car and take the train.
  • Chiavari station is on the Genoa–La Spezia line: from there you can reach Portofino, Santa Margherita and the Cinque Terre.

Where is the B&B?

At Via Domenico Canata 18, San Salvatore di Cogorno, in the province of Genoa. We are on the hillside above the Gulf of Tigullio: 5 km from Chiavari and Lavagna, 15 km from Sestri Levante and 27 km from Portofino.

Do I need a car to get there?

Yes. The B&B is on the hillside and the last stretch is a private road, narrow and winding, climbing for about a kilometre: it is easily reached by car. Follow the main road through Cogorno and then the signposted right turn, because some satnavs suggest routes that do not lead to the entrance.

Is the hot tub private?

The heated hot tub on the panoramic terrace is available to guests of the house, and it is what sets us apart: the only B&B in the Tigullio to have one both in the rooms and on the terrace. There is one in the room as well.

The Tigullio room sleeps up to 3 people (one double and one single bed) and has its own little terrace over the gulf. The Giardino room is for 2 people, with a double bed and a window onto the citrus garden. Both have a private bathroom.

Yes. Breakfast is served in the room with three large windows onto the sea, among local produce, freshly baked focaccia and the house limoncello. If you prefer, you can have it on the terrace.
